Post controversial stuff "arguments" are fun and sometimes productive.

Hopefully we will all learn something

One of the most interesting business or company meeting is "Open Discussion"

"Doesn't matter what the topic is just BRING IT UP"

Mildly controversial

Spring Creek has half the flow it did in the 50's, then you had to be a pretty fair caster to reach the far side when fishing below the car bridge at the Paradise (at the parking area), now you can darned near dap that spot

Not only Spring Creek. John Kennedy estimates that the flows of several Beford County spring creeks is about half of what the flows were only 50 years ago. He notes that many of the springs feeding these streams have totally dried up, even during wet weather. It makes you wonder if spring creeks can survive.

I think you are right rrt, check any of our streams flows today compared to historical average levels on the USGS site

SCARY

http://waterdata.usgs.gov/nwis/uv?01546400

with nearly all homes and businesses on public sewage our water is leaving, sluiced into our streams, then rivers, then the ocean, whereas onsite sewage at least keeps the water local, what is the solution?

One of the first things we need to do is take a look at how much water is being withdrawn from our streams by commercial water bottlers, that seems to be a national security issue(?) try and get that info from DEP

Spring was indeed VERY low today, and gin clear. But midges and the occasional BWO where in the air, and what a gorgeous day. I managed to catch 5 fish (3 browns, 2 bows), they all seemed to love the scud pattern I was throwing them. Hope some other folks got a chance to fish today. I had Stopped at the shop for some new nippers before I hit the stream. Steve I would have liked to listen to the rest of your demo, but it was already crowded in there, and I was in a hurry to get my line wet, haha. After all, it was my first outing of the year!
