Oh you mean the type of stories like catching 3 browns all over 17" from the same spot somewhere during the cicadas. I guess by the time we meet up next it will be a woven cicada pattern that was used.

Kind of impractical, but it would have been cool to see someone tie up a fairly realistic woven cicada pattern similar to the woven stone.

I never attempted this fly before reading Joe Pufka's tying instructions. I find this much easier that I previously thought. Thanks Joe.

The problem with the shuttle weave is that the material is not locked with each weave. If you slip or need to stop the entire thing will loosen up. I also don't think it looks as nice as the method I use which is the overhand knot method explained.
